National School Breakfast Week March 8-12, 2010
School Breakfast - Ready, Set, Go! is the new School Nutrition Association (SNA) Campaign that will introduce students to the importance of school breakfast and show how eating breakfast sets you up for a busy day at school. The theme also teaches students the importance of eating healthy and being active. The campaign runs from January, 2010 to March, 2010 and culminates during National School Breakfast Week (NSBW), March 8-12, 2010.
Have Students Enter the Drawing Contest
New this year is a drawing contest, where students answer the question "What does School Breakfast get you ready for?" by completing the blank "School Breakfast - Ready Set Go !" and illustrate their answer on the contest entry form. Be sure to tell classroom teachers about the contest and have them get on board. Each school can submit three entries. Entries must be made through the participating school, and submitted by a school nutrition professional or other school official. Three national winners will receive a prize pack. The local contests run till March 12 and all national entries are due March 31. Get all the contest details.
